January 8 - In the year 2004, 8th Schedule was amended, where Santali was added as the official language of India.

January 11 - Baba Tilka Majhi birth anniversary. He was the first first Adivasi leader who took up arms against the British in the 1784.

February 1 - Pandit Raghunath Murmu's death Anniversary.

February 12 - Birthday of Shyam Sundar Besra is an Indian writer of Santali and Hindi. He is also a civil servant from West Bengal. He won the prestigous Sahitya Akademi Award in 2018 for Marom (Novel). His pen name is "Jiwirarec".

April 19 - Fr. Anthony Murmu was killed along with 15 other Santal Leaders in the Banjhi Massacre (locally known as 'Banjhi Kaand') who struggled for the rights of Santal Tribals. "Shahid Diwas" is celebrated every year on this day to commemorate the sacrifice made by all Leaders.

May 1 - Kali Charan Hembram birthday is on 1 May 1960 is an Indian writer of Santali language and civil servant from Odisha. He won Sahitya Akademi Award for Santali in 2019 for Sisirjali (Short Stories).

May 5 - Pandit Raghunath Murmu Birth Anniversary, he was the inventor of the Ol Chiki script used in Santali language(Some say he was born in May 8).

May 17 - Gobind Chandra Majhi (born 17 May 1956) is a Santali language writer. Majhi is working as the vice president of Odisha chapter of All India Santali Writers Association. He won sahitya akademy award in 2016 for his poetry Nalha (Poetry).

May 21 - The convention of All India Jharkhand Party was held in the year 1978.

June 9 -Birsa Munda death anniversary 9 June 1900.

June 8 - Death anniversary of Basen Murmu, he was an Indian singer in the Santali film and music industries, he was born in the year 1987, he had a sudden death in the year 2020. He was only 33 years old.

June 20 - Birthday of Draupadi Murmu, born in the year 1958, is an Indian politician who is the eighth and current Governor of Jharkhand since May 2015. She is the first governor of Jharkhand to complete the five year term, since its formation in 2000.

June 22 - Santali Khabar was launched in the year 2018.

June 30 - In the year 1855, two Santal rebel leaders, Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu, mobilized ten thousand Santhals and declared a rebellion against British colonists. This day is known as Hul Maha (ᱦᱩᱞ ᱢᱟᱦᱟᱸ).

July 15 - In the Year 2022, Droupadi Murmu took oath of office as the 15th President of India. Created history by being the first tribal head of State and the second woman to occupy the country’s highest constitutional post.[1]

August 2 - Santali Wikipedia site was launched on 2 August 2018 ; The bill to create a separate state of Jharkhand to be carved out of Bihar was passed in Lok Sabha in the year 2000 by voice with two key allies of ruling NDA strongly opposing the measure and the opposition Rashtriya Janta Dal and the CPI - M demanding it to be referred to a parliamentary committee. The long cherished demand of people of the region was fulfilled, the celebration is on through out the Jharkhand region.

August 9 - The International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples or ᱡᱮᱜᱮᱛ ᱟᱫᱤᱵᱟᱥᱤ ᱢᱟᱦᱟᱸ (Jeget adivasi maha) is observed on 9 August each year to raise awareness and protect the rights of the world's indigenous population.

August 11 - Parliament approved the formation of Jharkhand when the Rajya Sabha passed by voice - vote the Bihar reorganisation bill 2000 to carve out the new state out of Bihar's northern region.

August - 25 - President Mr. K.R. Narayanan approved the Bihar reorganisation bill 2000.

September 25 - All Jharkhand Students Union gave their first call for Jharkhand bandh in the year 1986.

October - 12 - The center has issued the gazette notification starting November 15 to be the appointed date for the formation of new Jharkhand Government and First Chief Minister of Jharkhand is Mr. Baulal Marandi.

October 21 to 25 - ᱫᱟᱥᱟᱸᱭ ᱫᱟᱬᱟᱱ /ᱮᱱᱮᱡ (Dasay danan dance).

October 31 - On 31 October 2019 G. C. Murmu took charge as the 1st Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir after the formation of the new Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019.

November 15 - Birsa Munda birth anniversary, he was born in the year 1875 ; Jharkhand which came into being on 15 November 2000 as the 28th State of the Union is the homeland of the tribals who had dreamed of a separate state for a long time.

November 21 - Girish Chandra Murmu (born 21 November 1959) was the first lieutenant governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

December 6 - On 6th December 2019, Sarojini Hembram's three minute speech during Zero Hour, in the presence of Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu. It was for the first time that Santhali has been spoken on the floor of Rajya Sabha, that too by a woman member. The BJD MP from Orissa made history by speaking for the first time in the Rajya Sabha in Santhali, an indigenous language spoken by five million Santhals in Orissa. Priti Priya Marandi, who is pursuing her PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), did the interpretation from Santhali to Hindi.

December 28 - All India Jharkhand Party came into inception in 1947.
